The Bushnell Pro XE is one of the best golf rangefinder in the market. If you are looking for accuracy, quality and top features in a device, and ready to pay the price, not the cheapest in the market, that could be a good option for you.
Main Features
This premium product includes top-shelf features and best qualities, especially in the optic and the package.

The only issue could be with the color of the letters and numbers, all red. For most of the users, this could be no problem, but for the color-blinded users, red is not the best option. Other models offer the option to switch to black, but not this one.
The golf rangefinder has a fully-waterproof housing, which will protect the investment in all situations, even if it accidentally falls. Obviously, totally protected for those rainy days. Obviously, this will give the device an extra weight. This could be an issue for some people.
Pinseeker with Visual Jolt technology
The Pinseeker with Visual Jolt technology, will help you to lock the flag with a visual and vibration feedback.
At the beginning, you will need to get used to the red ring flashing, however it is a very easy and confident mechanism.
In general it is a high quality feature joining the visual and vibration feedback to get the distance very fast as soon as the flag is detected. The only issue, based on some users’ reviews, is not finding the flag sometimes, therefore the jolt technology is not triggered and no feedback is received.
Slope with Elements
This device compensates distances with the slope adding what they call elements. The elements are temperature and barometric pressure.
In this example, the actual distance is 150 yards. Because the flag is 4% more elevated, a corrected distance is given, 155 yards. That would be the normal slope feature in the rest of the golf rangefinders, however in the Pro XE, the temperature, 90ºF, and the high pressure, 5 yards more are added, with a result of 160 yards. Meaning that you should use 1 club more for the approach.
Do not forget to switch this feature off if you are competing in a tournament, it is not legal. It is very easy and noticeable by your colleagues to do so, using the switch in the lateral of the device.
Bite Magnetic mount
Although it is a bit heavy device due to its fully-waterproof metal housing , compared with other models, the magnetic mount will help you to attach it to any metallic surface,
For me it is a very nice feature. You can attach your rangefinder to your cart bar or the head of your irons. This way you can access to it very fast and will help you to get the distances in no time.

Best Alternatives
Although we consider the Bushnell Pro XE one of the best golf rangefinder in the market, there are very good alternatives if you are not willing to spend that amount of money:
Bushnell Golf Tour V5 Portrait
Same brand and same quality, you will only miss the slope adjustment in this model. The magnification is 6x instead of 7x but a very clear image as well. Price is considerable lower.
Precision Pro Golf NX9 Golf Laser Rangefinder
This is a very good option for a fraction of the price. It has the same features, including pinseeker, magnet cover and slope adjustment. You will be missing the elements compensation. Optic and quality are very good although a bit slower.
Nikon Coolshot 20i GII Golf Laser Slope Rangefinder
Very good option keeping quality at a very good price. It has slope adjustment and 8 seconds scan feature. No pinseeker feature in this model.
